Fleet training in England | Scotland | Wales | NationwideEngland | Scotland | Wales | NationwideThe primary network partners are based in Hoddesdon (Hertfordshire), Milton Keynes and Norwich. All three have been in business for over five years having originally been franchisees with Driver Transport Training.

All partners and affiliates retain their individual character and maintain their own close relationship with existing local and national customers. Now, with the added resources of the Chequered Flag Training Network, individual training centres can offer a far wider range of courses. This also means that specific specialist training skills can be made more readily available from a wider range of locations.

Our training vehicles are all adapted to, and exceed, the minimum vehicles requirements of the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). Most are Volvo FM7's or FM9's which are "true" LGV's, and not vehicles which are just about acceptable (which some companies try to train students in). We also use articulated lorries for LGV C+E with 40' trailers. We do NOT use artics with "short" trailers or drawbar combinations (rigid + trailer).

Instructors are on the DSA Voluntary Register for LGV Instuctors, and many are also RoSPA Advanced LGV Drivers. The network has a policy of CPD for all instructors which means many of them are qualified to teach a range of subjects.

The network strongly believes that your LGV training should prepare you properly for your future driving career. That training must therefore be done to a high standard on vehicles which are similar to those which you will drive in the future.

The result of this attitude to high quality vehicles with professional tuition is that the network members have an exceptionally high "first-time pass" rate.

All of our classroom training can be conducted either on our premises or at customer locations (subject to suitability). We don't use the local church hall ! Our centres are all registered with the relevent awarding bodies as approved training centres.

Many of our technical training courses can be conducted either in the classroom at our training centres or on customer premises, again subject to suitability. Our flexible approach to training locations means less problems for clients in organising attendance on courses for their candidates.

The attitude of flexibility extends beyond locations. We will train any day of the week, Monday to Sunday. We start when you want. We can even deliver some courses at NIGHT ! The members of the network understand that the transport & logistics sector is now a 24/7 operation and therefore any training has to be integrated into YOUR working day. It's our problem to adapt to you, not you adapt to us ! And in many cases we do not charge a premium for this "out of hours" training.
